The biggest source of difficulty with anxiety is becoming fixated on trying to control the emotions connecting to anxiousness and so the work will be on ending the internal fight with the anxiety and, instead, opening up to the anxious thoughts and feelings. 

We will reduce the impact and influence of anxious thoughs and feelings by moving attention and energy away from the anxiety itself - something called "unhooking."
